Reflections… a Scripture verse and inspiration for daily living [2/20]

2 Corinthians 11:1-15 (NIV 1984)

We are being bombarded with information every day, but who should we listen to?  What should we believe?  What is truth and what is fiction?  In this passage of Scripture, the Apostle Paul cautions the Corinthian church.  He urges them to not be led astray by false teachers.  Today, we also need to take care we are not deceived.  For Christians, the Holy Bible is the authoritative guide to holy living.  May we search and meditate upon the Scriptures.  May we enlist the help of the Holy Spirit to teach us, guide us, and help us understand and apply the truth of the Scriptures in our daily lives.  May we recognize when people are distorting biblical truths and when human actions are not compatible with the teaching of Jesus, the Christ.  (inspired by Reflecting God – Devotions for Holy Living, WordAction Publishing Company)

Dear Pastor Debbie, are you still doing the posts? I have really enjoyed them. Thank you for the time that it was going on and the time you put into it, blessings to you, love in Jesus Pastor Debbie Augusta!!!

    • Thanks, Pastor Debbie, for checking in about the blog posts. The one year anniversary of my daily posts to this blog is coming up this week. It has been a blessing to see how others have started following the blog and to track those that have found the River Run Church of the Nazarene web pages and blog from around the world. I do hope to continue posting. Recent posts [since the end of December] have been original responses to the suggested Scripture passages contained in the Reflecting God – Devotions for Holy Living devotional published by WordAction Publishing Company. They are inspired and subject to His leading. I drew a blank mid week, but hope to get back on track in the coming week. I will continue to use the Reflecting God – Devotions for Holy Living devotional. A new quarterly issue begins on Monday. Thanks again for checking in.
